Personal / lab

Mobile systems with safe boundaries.

A conceptual lab pattern for integrating power, connectivity, compute, and observability in a changing physical environment.

Personal / lab:This independent learning project is not presented as client or employer work.

Challenge

Mobile environments combine unstable connectivity, constrained power, vibration, heat, and safety-critical boundaries. Convenience cannot be allowed to interfere with the vehicle’s primary systems.

Approach

Keep experimental systems electrically and logically isolated, budget power deliberately, design for degraded connectivity, use local-first control where appropriate, and make status visible before adding automation.

Architecture

Mobile and vehicle systems conceptual architecture A sanitized flow showing the main boundaries in the Mobile and vehicle systems pattern. Power boundary protected supply Mobile network degraded mode Edge compute local services Interfaces safe control Telemetry visible state Isolation vehicle boundary
Conceptual architecture only. Operational identifiers, endpoints, credentials, vendors, and private topology are intentionally omitted.

Tools & methods

  • Power budgeting
  • Electrical isolation
  • Mobile networking
  • Local-first services
  • Telemetry
  • Failure-mode review

What this demonstrates

Cross-domain thinking that treats physical constraints, networking, compute, safety, and operations as one system while withholding vehicle-specific and location details.

Privacy by design. This case study describes patterns and decision boundaries only. It does not publish private addresses, credentials, customer data, employer systems, exact inventory, or operational access details.
